School District Considers 1-to-1 Pilot

At a board meeting on March 20th, Preston Jr. High administration and teachers presented a proposal for a pilot program that would include 6th grade students being given a laptop to work on in their courses.  This program, commonly referred to as 1-to-1 referencing the ratio of students to laptops, is one that has been implemented in school districts across the nation and provides teachers and students with additional tools to use during classroom instruction.

The program, if implemented, will run during the 2019-2020 school year.  If successful, the district will consider expanding the program at both the jr. high and high school over the next several years.
